Fall Color Trend: Orchid Hush

It seems quite appropriate that a hush came upon the Pantone fall color roundup I’ve been working on for the past week, right in time for the presentation of orchid hush – a half silver, half cerulean hue that’s about as chilling and fresh as the last days of fall…

1. Set of Four Damask Bridesmaid Clutches $159, FA2U on Etsy // 2. Puff Sleeve Pop Over Blouse $79.50, J.Crew // 3. Via Spiga Ivie Peep Toe Ankle Pump $250, Nordstrom // 4. Streets of New York Bon Shopper $145, Kate Spade NY // 5. Braided Trilby Hat $65, Madewell // 6. Daisy Charm Necklace $12.80, Forever 21 // 7. Toulon Tank $78, Anthropologie //

Just like blue steal, but a tad more elusive. I honestly can’t decide if it’s hints of seersucker or tiny droplets of amethyst or a splish splash of sterling metals that give this color it’s charm. Whatever magic found its way into the painter’s palette works for me, as orchid hush is a perfect way to keep colors like emberglow and deep teal grounded and not so summery. Silver accessories are a must when matched against a sweet J.Crew pop over – and that Kate Spade shopper seems to parade its own color mixing with help from the geometrics of NYC. The bag is definitely my top pick for how to show off the possibilities for orchid hush‘s beautiful relationship with blues and grays.

Yes, the time has finally come. Next, we wrap up this colorful abyss with quarry

  1. I’m so ready for fall clothing! I like this gray…I just went into the new Charming Charlie’s on Hulen and it was FABULOUS! Love that store 🙂

    • Yes! Love Charming Charlie – super chic stuff, totally reasonable prices!

Michele – LOVE the tote, too! From upstate NY, but still felt the need to have it!!
